IT’S TIME TO GATHER FOR GOATS!

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, all donations to our goat program will be matched, doubling the impact of your gift! That means it only takes $150 to give the gift of a milk goat to a Syrian family in Jordan.

HOOF YOU HERD?

The gift of a milk goat is life-changing for Syrian refugees living in Jordan. For over 10 years, many Syrians in Jordan have lived in harsh, isolated desert refugee tent camps.

We provide families with milk goats, which in turn provide the families with many benefits:

  • Improved nutrition - Goat milk is easily digestible, delicious, and rich in nutrients

  • Self-sufficiency and food security - Our goats famously provide their families with lots of milk! Around 3 to 4 gallons a week.

  • Micro-economic independence - Families breed small herds over time. They can sell male baby goats as well as milk products like butter, ghee, and tangy goat cheese.

  • Increased human dignity - A goat gives her family the dignity of being able to provide for themselves like they have for generations.

Join LHI Founder and Director Hayley Smith as she visits Syrian refugee families in Jordan who have received goats through our Gather for Goats program.
