We have partnered with the 2 resettlement agencies in Utah, Catholic Community Services (CCS) and International Rescue Committee (IRC), to provide aid to refugees resettled in the state. When refugees are resettled, they are given a small, one-time stipend. We provide basic supplies so they can instead use their stipend for other necessities, like transportation to their jobs, rent payments, etc.
We have also partnered with the Granite Education Foundation. They provide aid and services to kids in the Granite School District, including managing food pantries, providing school supplies, distributing hygiene items, etc. Granite School District houses 70% of the resettled refugee children in Utah. With their cooperation, we have compiled a needs list that will benefit many of the resettled refugee students within their district.
Will you help by donating aid supplies for resettled refugees?
Here are two easy ways to donate:
This is by far the easiest way to donate exactly what resettled refugees need. With the click of a mouse, diapers, household products, and other items come to our warehouse in Utah to be delivered to resettled refugees, saving their one-time stipend for other uses.
Add some items from our needs list to your shopping cart the next time you’re at the store. Please keep in mind that we accept only what’s on the list, and most items need to be brand new. Bring your items to one of more than three dozen drop-off points throughout Utah.
