In Utah, we have partnered with the Granite Education Foundation. They provide aid and services to kids in the Granite School District, including managing food pantries, providing school supplies, distributing hygiene items, etc. Granite School District houses 70% of the resettled refugee children in Utah. Our shipments benefit many of the resettled refugee students within their district.

The civil war in Syria has forced many Syrians to flee the lands that have been home to their families for generations. With similar social, religious, and economic systems, neighboring Jordan has become a destination for many of them. There, they live in refugee camps with minimal income and limited availability of food and resources.

Decades of violence and government instability, compounded by drought and lasting food shortages, have created more than 2 million internally displaced people in Somalia. While Somalia struggles with its own vulnerable people, tens of thousands of refugees, mostly from Ethiopia and Yemen, are fleeing into Somalia to try to find refuge there.

In the aftermath of category 5 hurricane Dorian in 2019, many people of the Bahamas were left devastated and without resources. Our supporters responded to our urgent call for donations and filled a container with critical aid supplies in a matter of days. Food, clothing, and medical disaster supplies were distributed to underdeveloped villages and victims of the hurricane.

When Central American refugees arrive in the US, they are held at detention centers and put through preliminary processing before being dropped off at various different locations along the border. There, nonprofit organizations and churches provide services including warm meals, showers, and a place to stay for a short time. We have teamed up with Church World Service to vet and select six partner shelters to which we provide aid at the border.

Afghanistan has a high rate of internally displaced people, who, like most of the population, lack adequate shelter, food, water, health care, and opportunities to pursue education and employment. The aid supplies we ship help needy families protect themselves them from harsh winter and illness. Winter clothing, blankets, dolls, and other supplies were distributed to needy families.

Upwards of 1 million Rohingya refugees, considered to be the most persecuted refugees in the world, live in Bangladesh. We visited the world’s largest refugee camp there and were horrified and shocked at the unsanitary and crowded conditions. The need here is extremely great and our aid shipments provide some relief to the Rohingya people.

The economic and social impact of the crisis on Lebanon reached new heights in 2014. The mass influx of refugees from Syria into Lebanese territory continues, with more than 1.2 million Syrian refugees present.

Syrian refugees in Lebanon are facing unemployment, illiteracy, bad housing conditions, and malnourishment among other things. Our aid has given them support and lessened their burden.
